The Royal Munster Fusiliers was a line infantry regiment of the British Army from 1881 to 1922. The unit was recruited in the south-west of Ireland. It was created in 1881 by the amalgamation of two former East India Company regiments and disbanded in 1922 with the establishment of the Irish Free State.
