Life-saving Apparatus for Airmen.

A remarkable life-saving apparatus for airmen was demonstrated recently in England. The device consists of a skillfully packed parachute which is fired from an aluminum cylinder by compressed air; the maximum of support thus being obtained immediately at any height. The invention was demonstrated from an auto, from the rear of which it was successfully discharged.
